Black Southern Baptist Denominational Servant Network

Constitution

PREAMBLE

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, and in order to preserve the principles of our faith, and to provide support and fellowship, to share information on Black oriented issues and to provide mentors for African Americans employed by various Southern Baptist Convention entities, we do declare and establish this Constitution.

Article I – Name

The organization shall be known as the Black Southern Baptist Denominational Servants Network.

Article II – Purpose

The purposes of the Network are:

Section 1        

To provide an ongoing organization for fellowship among Black Southern Baptist denominational servants.

Section 2        

To share information on Black oriented issues among Black Southern Baptist servants.

Section 3        

To provide mentors for Blacks employed by various Southern Baptist Convention entities.

Section 4        

To provide a forum for problem solving relative to issues affecting Southern Baptists and the Black community.

Section 5        

To provide a periodic Black Southern Baptist news bulletin on issues relative to Southern Baptists and the Black community.

Articles III – Articles of Faith

The Black Southern Baptist Denominational Servants Network affirms our common faith in adopting the most current Southern Baptist Convention Baptist Faith and Message.
